Feel free to look through the pages associated in this section using the menu links. Most programs can be specialized or can be customized to include multiple elements of training. These include pages explaining our programs that can help with:
Using Status. Often overlooked in the legal profession is simply the way that people carry themselves. There are a variety of ways to convey status and gravitas. This can relate confidence, strength and innocence. This can also come across as arrogance and contempt. Understanding the nature of status can assist in gaining advantage throughout the legal process.
Presentation Skills. There is nothing more iconic than the picture of an attorney standing tall and advocating for their client. While this is true, the amount of detailed training to enable an attorney to understand the way they are perceived is sorely lacking. This training assists lawyers in understanding how even the smallest movement can be viewed and practical situations are provided to help improve performance.
Oratory - Opening and Closing Statements. Beyond simple presentation skills, understanding the specific requirements for quality oratory are key to swaying jurors. This includes issues such as pacing of speech, choice of rhetoric, gauging and engaging audiences and the art of persuasion.
Media Training. Learning the do's and don'ts of dealing with the media can make the difference of winning in the court of public opinion as well as to put forth the best image possible for you as an attorney and your law firm. After all, if you are getting a case that has media coverage, it is a chance to best establish yourself and to advertise your services while advocating for your client.
Leadership Training. For larger cases, attorneys can be put in the position of running a team. To improve the quality of your team, it often comes down to your leadership. After all, if you were just on your own that would be one thing, but to better incorporate the efforts of team members and to be more efficient to achieve more, leadership training could make all the difference between victory or a loss.
Understanding the Human Brain. Being able to understand the nuances of the brain and how to manipulate the opinions of others can make all the difference in a case. Learn some of the tricks and pitfalls of the human brain to better prepare for dealing with witnesses and depositions.
Witness Prep. Most trial attorneys have to deal with preparing witnesses at one point or another. Often attorneys simply make certain that the witness is consistent in the information that you understand that they will provide, but we can also train you to better prepare the witness to appear more confident and truthful to assist their information to be taken more to heart. Otherwise, nervousness can be mistaken on the stand for not being sure of the details or confident in testimony.
CLE and MCLE Programs. We can work with your law firm in creating a specific program for training your associates and potentially being accredited by the state Bar Association allowing the participants to gain knowledge as well as MCLE credits helping them in multiple ways. Likewise, we have some classes from time to time that may not be associated with a specific firm.
We understand the need for confidentiality and review all such agreements to ensure a level of secrecy to maintain your relationship with your clients. We will usually not take control of work product and rather not take any material off-location to help ensure our relationships with our clients. Simply ask us for more information about how far we will go to protect our clients.
Whether for Appellate, Business, Civil, Constitutional, Criminal, Entertainment, Family (including Trusts, Estates, Divorce, Elder and Juvenile), Intellectual Property, Medical, Military, Securities or Tax Law, or any of the other branches, we either already have a program that can assist practitioners or can develop a special program to improve performance.
